About the project
As a UX designer and researcher, I participated in the development and creation of the yoga app My Pause. During this time, I researched user and market needs, defined the design strategy, the scope of the solution, and conceptualized the MVP, all the way to production.

Understanding the problem

At the beginning of the project, I proposed a work plan to achieve the client's goal of having a first design proposal within the next eight months so that development could begin. We conducted an initial phase of exploration and understanding of the problem with interviews with different profiles of people in Spain and quantitatively validated the learnings with surveys in the United Kingdom and France.
Immersion in the world of yoga
We conducted interview sessions for the Spanish market and surveys to reach potential users in Europe. With a sample of 350 people, we launched the product in Germany, France, and Spain, where we hoped to position it.
And we also began to see what was happening in the market. We benchmarked digital products, focusing on those related to health and wellness: we analyzed features, navigation, design, and reviews. Using the Apptica tool, we analyzed the apps with the highest revenue.

User stories
Together with the development team, we defined an MVP to achieve our goal of launching the app that year. We defined the features that would be included in this first version, and based on these, we created user stories that allowed us to think through the design, considering all possible scenarios.
Collaborative workshops
We carry out collaborative work dynamics with the entire Yoga Solo team, based on prioritization, co-creation, and ideation workshops, always with the goal of staying aligned with user needs, business needs, and the technical feasibility of implementing them.

Information architecture
All the app's flows and content were designed. Using Lucidchart, I defined the flowchart that would allow me to build the app's design.
Visual design
We defined the color palette, style guide, and components our app would have. We built
a UI Kit to homogenize and systematize all the visual elements.

Validation and implementation
We validated the usability and navigability of the MVP with potential product users. For the study, we focused on the Spanish market due to costs and recruitment planning.

Learnings
I really enjoyed working with a small team, where everyone had to participate in different phases of the project, playing different roles. It also helped me gain a solid professional foothold in decision-making. During the year and a half I was involved, we managed to develop a digital product with minimal resources.
